We’re bigger than we ever dreamed

“If your dreams  don’t scare you, they are not big enough.”

Never be scared to dream, but more important than that – never be scared to dream BIG. At this point of time your dreams might seem too big for your reach but if that is what makes you lose faith in your dreams, you are committing a big mistake.  Dreams hold faith in them, they hold hope and most important of all they hold a part of you in them. Its reflects your aspirations and what you expect of yourself. So when the time comes don’t stop from exceeding your own expectations, coz you are bigger than you ever dreamed.

As for my look, I have taken a swing at the print on print trend. Its a fun trend to experiment with and the mixing and matching part tickles your creative instincts. So if you haven’t tried it yet, go ahead and create something fun from your wardrobe.

Only hate the road when you’re missing home

“Home..where love resides, memories are created, friends always belong and laughter never ends.”

Once you leave your home to pursue your dreams there is no turning back. You seek for the brighter and the bigger world leaving back the cozy comfort of home. And once you are out there is when you realize the importance of home.

Most of us have to leave our homes to chase our dreams only to realize the importance of what we left behind. The joy of going back is like no other. Half the times we reminisce about it thinking about the memories made, the childhood we spent there , the delicious meals and the laughter that filled our homes. At this point of time when I have been staying away from home for quite some time now, I realize why my parents are so reluctant and will always be, to sell or leave our home – its because home is where the love is, home is where the memories are, home is where the heart is.

Natural Remedies for Hair loss

“Gorgeous hair is the best revenge”

- Ivana Trump

I have always been plagued with hair loss. Seems like soon I will have no hair left on my scalp. I guess most of us worry about hair loss and have tried various products to stem it but in vain. Hair loss is due to a lot of reasons – Change in water, pollution, season change, medication, chemicals and illness. It is normal to shed 50-100 hairs from your head each day, but sometimes the number increases due to stress on the body, hormones, and even genetics.

So here are a few natural remedies to deal with hair loss :

1   Onions

Rub your head for 10 mins with the surface of a freshly cut onion. It contains sulphur, which aids in the formation of collagen, a substance that makes hair fuller and stronger. Follow up with washing.

Life is great without a care

“Cuts all over you. Ripped Jeans. Grass stains. It was a good day.”

When was the last time you cared what people thought of you. Was it a moment ago, a day or a while back? I came across this ad campaign by P&G ‘like a girl’ which has been trending on Facebook for quite a while now. Well I think they have kinda hit the spot. In school you are always taught how to be a young lady . Being a tomboy myself, I heard that way too often. Though I have evolved in my mannerism since, still a part of me will always remain a tomboy.

I don’t give it a second thought if I have to go out and play and get dirty till date. Dolls never interested me and I always played with the boys, coming back home with skinned knees. I still carry my ‘war wounds’ with fierce pride. I think its fair if you want to be the way you are and you should take pride in it. If you can’t stand a saree, so be it. You look equally good in denims and a loose tee. Be what you are coz in the end ‘Life is great without a care’.

Don’t wake me up

“Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening. “

- Coco Chanel

Have you ever dreamed of something that you did not want to wake up from? Have you ever spent your time day dreaming and built castles in the sky? This post is for all the dreams we have ever had. Few of our dreams came true and few are yet to be fulfilled. This post is just a nudge to tell you that never stop dreaming and never be scared of fulfilling your dreams no matter how insane they might sound right now.

Dreams are the most powerful tool we have for ourselves. It not only helps you decide who will you be in the future but who you truly are and the power you have within you to make them come true.

Celebrate Father’s Day with Bonobos.com

“He didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.”

- Clarence Budington Kelland

With Father’s Day just round the corner, every kid is trying to make ‘daddy’ feel extra special. There are a million synonyms to the word father. For me its ‘Baba’, for somebody else it might be ‘Papa’ or ‘Daddy’. Whatever you may call him, he is your wall, a figure you draw courage from. A figure who is your shield from the world outside. I remember my Baba (Dad) telling me,   “I will feel, I have made a mark in the lives I have touched when my grandkids remember me as a good man.” That was all that he wanted out of life at the end. To be remembered as a good man. I was astounded by the simplicity of the words which held so much depth at the same point of time. I have learned life lessons at his knee and still I feel I have so much more to learn.

On this special day dedicated to all the fathers around the world, I thought of that thing which I guess most of our fathers are bad at – Shopping for themselves. He is our natural bank but always forgets to shop for himself. Holding on to that thought, I surfed the internet and came across this amazing site called http://www.bonobos.com/.I will give you a little introduction about Bonobos before I futher delve into their awesome collection.

Bonobos is a clothing brand focused on delivering great fit, high energy, and superb customer experience. Launched in 2007 on the Internet with its signature line of better-fitting men’s pants, Bonobos is now the largest apparel brand ever built on the web in the United States. In 2011 Bonobos extended offline, launching Bonobos Guideshops, e-commerce showrooms that deliver personalized, one-to-one service to those wanting to experience the brand in-person. In 2012, Bonobos expanded its distribution partnering with Nordstrom, bringing Bonobos apparel into select doors nationwide and to Nordstrom.com. Across channels, Bonobos is focused on delivering a well-targeted brand promise: world-class fit, an innovative shopping experience and an energetic brand spirit. Bonobos was named “One of America’s Hottest Brands” by Advertising Age, “Best Men’s Pants” by New York Magazine, one of Inc. Magazine’s “20 Awesome Facebook Pages” and was awarded Crain’s “Best Places to Work in New York City”.

They have this Father’s Day gift guide section which already has ensembles made. It certainly helps you a lot because it covers all the basics and makes life much simpler. Other than that what made me love this site is the collection they have (too bad, it does not ship to India) I feel in love with their collection of Dress Shirts and  Summer Suits. The colors and prints is what made me fall in love with the collection. It caters to a large segment of men and can definitely made you look sleek and fashionable. The suit collection is to to die for. Whenever we think about suits the first thing that comes to our mind is black or grey but their suit collection will definitely open your eyes to a broader spectrum. Do check out their site. Its great and a very refreshing change from what we generally see.
